Overview

Eccox Application Environment Management for Data Generation is the facility for storing and generating test data from specific register-to-register and field-to-field definitions by the user.

Integrated with Eccox Application Environment Management for Parallel Testing, Eccox Application Environment Management for Data Setup and Eccox Application Environment Management for Data Privacy solutions, Data Generation is the facility for storing and generating test data from specific register-to-register, field-to-field definitions by the user, which can be:

  • Manual: a register entry for each physical register;
  • Automatic: a registry entry for ‘n’ physical registers through data generation commands by field. Examples:
    • CONST, for constant values;
    • SEQ, to generate a sequence of numeric values;
    • RANDOM, to generate random values;
    • DATE, for date values;
    • TIME, for time values;
    • TIMESTAMP, forDB2 date and time values;
    • NV, for invalid values.

In addition to being able to generate data from scratch for any type of base, it only stores the definitions of the data content in the form of metadata (description of the data), and this can be created physically at any time.

Main benefits
• Enables the creation of values in databases ”from scratch”;
• Retains applied intelligence in the generation of these values;
• It allows the rapid re-execution of values.
Benefits

  • Creation of values and conditions “from scratch”
  • Retains the intelligence of created values
  • Easily used solution
